Contamination 

I live in Bogota. It is a big city and it has a lot of environmental problems. I’m pretty sure that the contamination, air pollution is the main issue here. I’d definitely say that it has increased enough lately. The large amount of cars, buses, trucks and other kind of transportation have contributed to the air pollution. I could be wrong, but by the time I get older, Bogota will be one of the most contaminated cities in the world. 

I’m no expert on environmental analyzis, but in the next graphic we can see that the air quality is very low making this issue the most severe in the city. Without a doubt the air quality is the lowest topic. There are other issues as deforestation, climate change, water pollution, urban sprawl, waste disposal and others problems but we are going to focus on air pollution due to it is the most important and serious problem here.

 In the next graphic we can analyze and deduce that the air pollution has increased in big proportions recently and this is one point why Bogota appears as one of the most contaminated cities in Latin America. It seems to me that the air pollution has emerged in the last years stronger due to the lack of awareness and care of the environment by the people. 

This issue has increased diseases in the city. Irritation of the eyes, suffocation, problems to breathe well, cought and many other syntoms that are coming up with this contamination. Every single person in the city has to be aware and take care of the environment in order to reduce this issue and we can live in a breathable and healthy environment. I’m positive that if we all help and contribute to reduce the air pollution we will make it and we will have a better envIronment in the city.

Proposal About Enviroment Problem.

 

I´d say that the city has enough vehicles and this is one of the causes that produce a lot of contamination related to the air pollution. I’d definitely say that it has increased enough lately. I think the lack of awareness of the people is big. So there are some things that they can do, for example, in my opinion, they have to do the electromechanical review in order to reduce the black and harmful smoke that they produce as an obligation because it seems to me that they don´t do it. Some people may disagree with me but there are a lot of old and damaged buses and vehicles running around the city and contaminating it, so we need to get them out of the way. Without a doubt we have to reduce transportation, to reduce vehicles because every day more and more cars appear in the city. I could be wrong but if we don´t take care of the environment and this problem we are going to be the city most contaminated in Latin America.

I am positive that people can and will implement and use more electric, hybrids vehicles, or at least less pollutants. At the same time reducing or conserving energy, I am no expert on this but as a big city, we do waste a lot of energy as well, I’m absolutely certain that we can help the environment and fight this problem by switching off lights, changing some old bulbs for the new ones that are less pollutants, and the most important part, reusing and recycling. Do not throw away the majority of the things that we use or that are useless for us. We can reuse them for other purposes. I am pretty sure that if we all work together to fight against this environmental problem we are going to win and make a better city to live.
